Beijing Electronic Science and Technology Institute Project—Climate Simulation Lab

Climate Simulation Lab Project. The lab occupies a total land area of 650 square meters and comprises three sections: environmental simulation, building simulation, and enthalpy difference testing. It stands as China's first large-sized integrated environmental simulation facility capable of simulating temperature, humidity, rainfall, snowfall, wind, frost, fog, and solar radiation. This facility was constructed to meet the grid configuration requirements for coal-to-electricity conversion in Beijing and Northern China, primarily to validate electric heating configurations for typical Northern China residential buildings under various winter climate conditions. We can conduct performance tests on various electric heating devices in the facility, evaluating the heating efficiency of different electric heating solutions under varying weather conditions and with different building insulation materials. It can better assist residents in selecting the appropriate type of electric heating equipment while providing a scientific basis for grid designers to determine the capacity of distribution network power sources.
